Goveror’s Global Grant – Uganda Water & Opus for Peace
Governor’s Global Grant: Uganda Water & Opus for Peace
In Partnership with Call to Care Uganda
It all starts with water. The Uganda Water & Opus for Peace Global Grant (#2575231) is a bold Rotary initiative that brings together the life-sustaining power of clean water and the unifying force of peace through the arts. In partnership with Call to Care Uganda, this project is delivering 25 new water wells to serve over 25,000 people in rural communities—while also building long-term sustainability through locally trained Water Well Sustainability Teams.
But we’re not stopping at water. Through Opus for Peace, this grant is also supporting cultural programs rooted in traditional music, dance, and storytelling to strengthen bonds, promote healing, and build peace from the ground up.
With support from the Soroti Central Rotary Club (Host), Madison Rotary Club (International Sponsor), and Rotary District 7980, we are already 31% toward our $230,000 goal. Your club can make a tangible difference:
- Sponsor a Well in honor of your family, club, or business
- Fund a Peace Program to support children’s initiatives, tree planting, and community celebrations
- Partner as a Club to expand impact, visibility, and global connection
Every drop of water brings hope. Every act of peace builds a future.
Join us in bringing lasting change to Uganda—through water, peace, and Rotary.
Please visit DG Robert’s Calendar and schedule a time for Robert and Martha Hoffman, President of Call to Care Uganda, to visit your club and provide more details about the project for your members.
