A Message of Welcome from District Governor, Jeff Krause

Jeff and Eileen Krause
District Governor 2021-2022

Welcome to the District 7980 Website for Rotary Year 2021-2022. Our Rotary International President, Shekar Mehta, has delivered an appropriate theme for his year as RI President, “Serve to Change Lives.”

We are embracing this theme and framing Service as a centerpiece for this Rotary Year. In fact, our entire District – all 57 Rotary Clubs and 6 Rotaract Clubs – will join together in a major Connecticut Statewide Service Day to take place in early 2022.

The entire State of Connecticut, including our partner District in Northern Connecticut, will “Get Behind the Wheel” and deliver an unprecedented Connecticut Day of Service where all clubs from both Districts will perform community service projects that improve the lives of individuals and families across the state.

Our nearly 2,000 members serve the four southern counties of Connecticut. We continue to innovate and have just launched a new E-club focusing on Diversity and the Environment. And, the District’s Passport Club is a great alternative for individuals who may not have a Rotary Club in their community but still want to engage in an opportunity to be a Rotarian and perform community service.

We have enhanced our Website making it easier to access information, engage and connect to membership and club information, along with accessing the vast amount of programs that are offered by our clubs.

I look forward to this exciting new Rotary year. So, please join us and make a difference through the delivery of local, regional, and international service projects, fellowship, and fun, as we all work together to serve and Change Lives.

With warm regards,

Jeff Krause
District Governor 2021-2022
