Rotary 2023-2024 Global Scholar Application

District 7980 (comprised of 55 Rotary Clubs and 5 Rotaract Clubs) has committed two Global Grant scholarships for the 2023-24 Rotary year.

The scholarship is for a Masters’ (or Doctorate) at any foreign university of one’s choice (where there is a Rotary Club).  Kin of Rotarians may not apply.  A Rotary Club may submit only one scholar applicant per year.

A scholarship is $30,000, and its components are $13,333 from The Rotary Foundation and $16,667 from District 7980.

In lieu of the RI Global Grant Scholar template, one may submit a one-page letter of introduction, accompanied by transcripts, a resume, and acceptance from the foreign university.  There will be two interviews, one at the Club level and a second, by the District Global Grant committee.

If there is more than one candidate, all will interview back-to-back on February 3, 2024 and continue on February 4th, if needed. This scholarship is subject to the final approval of Rotary International.
