The Ed Osterman Award honors the legacy of Rotary Southern Connecticut District Governor Ed Osterman, a distinguished leader from Newtown, Connecticut, in District 7980. This prestigious award is presented annually to the Rotary club, which has 32 members or less who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to service, leadership, and community impact.
For the 2024-2025 Rotary year, this award will be granted to the small club that has:
- Excelled in Rotary’s Four Avenues of Service – Club, Vocational, Community, and International Service – by delivering transformative projects that address real-world challenges.
- Made a measurable and lasting impact in their local or global community, strengthening Rotary’s mission of Service Above Self.
- Fostered innovation and collaboration through dynamic partnerships, engaging members, and leveraging resources to expand Rotary’s reach and effectiveness.
- Demonstrated consistent excellence over the past three Rotary years, showing sustained commitment to service and leadership.
