How Green Are We?

Conversations Lead To ACTION

Doomsday Clock

This year is the last time we have, if we are not to see a carbon rebound…The next three years will determine the course of the next 30 years and beyond. If we do not [take action] we will surely see a rebound in emissions. If emissions rebound, it is very difficult to see how they will be brought down in future. This is why we are urging governments to have sustainable recovery packages.

Please join our conversation as we take community and individual ACTION focused on achievable solutions for our shared home! Our grassroots approach is hyper-tuned on goals that are within reach.

Mission Statement:

  • To develop a repertoire of best practices with highest impact within our individual control to combating climate change.
  • To share best practices with other Rotary clubs and community organizations as invited.
  • To encourage individuals to assume responsibility and personally act in ways that will bring the quickest ROI to reducing CO2 emissions, such as switching to solar, electrifying sources, and reduction of burning wood.

These proposals are in line with Rotary International’s grassroots efforts to explore ways and means to make our environment more sustainable.
