Governor's Message

July, 2009

Dear District Rotarians,

      I am honored to serve as your District Governor for 2009-10
     
      This year, RI President John Kenny of Scotland has set as our theme - "The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands".  It is up to us, especially at the club level, to make sure Rotary grows and is responsive to the needs of the local and global communities. My role is simple; to assist your club in attaining its goals for the year.  My wish is that the 2009-10 Rotary year be a meaningful and satisfying one for you.

      I hope you will take full advantage of the many educational and fellowship programs set for this fall, including 6 membership seminars, 2 foundation seminars and 2 public relations seminars.  In October, I hope you will attend the Rotary Leadership Institute sessions in New Haven where you will learn in a round-table setting much about what Rotary does locally and around the world.

      I look forward to meeting you at your club meetings ove rthe next four months, sharing with you my goals and giving you an update on Rotary happenings both in and out of district.
