Assistant Governors: Area 9 - Area 12
Mukund Nori, Assistant Governor Area 9 (Cheshire, Meriden, Middletown, Wallingford) Mukund is a member of the North Branford Rotary Club, served as the President in 2007-2008 and was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow in 2007. He has led the North Branford club's efforts to recognize students who have performed outstanding volunteer service in the community. An active community volunteer, Mukund has chaired the American Cancer Society’s North Branford Relay For Life, participated in a Polio National Immunization Day and has helped to install water filters in India. Mukund is a medical writer by profession working in Southport. He lives in North Branford.
Geraldine Lewis, Assistant Governor Area 10 (Chester, Deep River, East Haddam, East Hampton, Essex, Old Saybrook) Gerri is a member of Old Saybrook Rotary Club which includes Old Lyme and Westbrook. She served as President in 2006–07 and was awarded the President's and Governor's Citations and is a Paul Harris Fellow. For four years Gerri has co-chaired her club’s Annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction and served on the Community Outreach, Golf Tournament and Arts & Crafts Show Food Booth Committees. Gerri is the past director of the Old Saybrook Chamber and currently serves on the Zoning and Appeals Board. She is President of the Old Saybrook Republican Women’s Club, Secretary of the RTC and past Trustee of the Old Saybrook Historical Society. She is a member of St. John RC Church in Old Saybrook where she is a Eucharistic Minister.
Kathleen Chartier, Assistant Governor Area 11 (Colchester, Ledyard, Montville, Norwich, Norwich Sunrise) Member of Norwich Sunrise Club, President in 2005-06, Kathleen is the former chair of the programs committee and served on various fund raising committees. She serves on teh Board of Directors Hospice of Southeastern Ct., is a Founder of the Norwich Chapter of Women & Girls Fund of the Community Foundation of the Tri-County Area and serves on teh Foundations Distribution Committee. She has also served as President of Board of Directors of the Eastern Ct Community Foundation. Vice President in the Retail Banking Division of a very large financial institution for 25 years, she is presently working as a Business Services Consultant. She resides in Norwich and has 3 children.
Catherine Foley, Assistant Governor Area 12 (Groton/Ledyard, Mystic, New London, Niantic, The Stoningtons, Waterford) Catherine joined the New London Rotary Club in 1992. She has served as Director-at-Large and on numerous committees before becoming Club President in 2006–07. She was honored by her club with a “Service Above Self” Paul Harris Fellowship award in 2002 and was District Conference Chair in 2005. Catherine serves on New London’s Ethics and Charter Revision Commissions. In 2005 Catherine was named a Woman of Substance by Shiloh’s Women of Excellence; was recognized in the 2006 Women’s Center of SECT’s first edition of Celebrating 100 Women Who Make a Difference and is a Sustaining RF Member. Catherine is president/owner of Meeting Works, a New London meeting management firm; is a Lay Minister for the Diocese of Norwich and a Spiritual Director. She lives in New London with her two daughters Corinne and Kate a 2007–08 Rotary Youth Exchange student to Turkey.
